Limiting to domain types

The major search engines provide tools so that you can limit your searches to specific domains.

In Google, Yahoo, and some other search engines you can go into advanced search to select a top-level domain, or you can type it in yourself:

To limit by domain type in Google, enter your keywords, then sneter site:.edu, which is the word site, followed by a colon, followed by dot-edu, or dot-gov, or other top-level domain. No spaces.

Check the help tips in your chosen search engine to find out other ways to limit.
