Tutoring Center and e-Tutoring
Aggravated by adjectives?
Everyone needs a little help from time to time. A tutor can help you work through trouble spots in your classes. English and math are most common, but tutors may be available in many subjects.
Tutoring services are often available free of charge to students. A tutor might be a faculty member or a student who knows exactly what you're going through. Tutoring Centers often offer drop-in services, but sometimes you'll need to make an appoinment. Some tutoring centers offer e-Tutoring, so you can get help online.
If you know from the beginning that you might need help in a subject, don't wait until the last minute to seek it. Locate the Tutoring Center on campus and talk to the tutors early in the quarter. Make note of:
- phone number
- location
- URL (web address) if available online
- whether you need an appointment
- subjects available
