Some popular magzines include brief biographies of the contributing authors. Newspapers and Magazines

Popular press periodicals

Newspaper and popular magazine articles are typically written by reporters and staff writers. Articles are reviewed by editors, but are not subject to the same scrutiny as articles in academic journals.

Some magazines include brief biographies of the contributing authors, either in a single list or at the end of each article. Search for other articles by the author using databases (preferred) or search engines. Additional articles might inform you as to the author's experience and interest in your topic.

Check the date, of course. Most newspaper and magazine articles cover immediate and breaking news, so consider how important it is in your research to use sources that are current and up to the minute.
