The Cons, or negative side
- Con: Authors are unknown and unprovable, so the articles fail in the most basic aspect of evaluating information: determining author credentials.
- Con: What you read in an article today could change a minute from now.
- Con: It's entirely possible for people to plant deliberately misleading information just to trick you.
- Con: Wikipedia requires documentation for information, but often contributors either do not include sources, or include sources that are only available on the open web, leaving out a large body of scholarly articles and books.
